Both versions of Laxton’s 2016 include detailed, fully resourced, priced, easy to use libraries of every day construction items checked and updated as at August/September 2015. Laxton’s are regarded as the estimators essential tool - often referred to as his bible!

Laxton's NRM Building Price Book is the new version prepared in accordance with the RICS New Rules of Measurement "NRM2" Detailed Measurement for Building Works.  These rules become operative from 1st January 2013.

The Laxton's Building Price Book library of descriptions has been prepared in accordance with NRM2 which is already being taught in Universities and used by quantity surveyors, local and public health authorities, Housing Associations and others. The markers on the covers, together with the Bleeds on each page ensure that sections needed can easily be located.  The detailed index at the front of Laxton's identifies specific items and subjects.
Laxton's price guide provides easy to use pricing information, labour, materials, waste and profit in separate columns making it an essential tool for those involved in the costing of construction projects.  All prices have been checked and updated throughout the book.

Laxton's Composite Prices for Approximate Estimating section provides built up prices based on the detailed rates assisting with the calculation of cost plans for complete buildings.  Examples are given for a house and an office block.  The Basic Prices section shows the material prices use throughout.  The Brand and Trade Names, Company Information and Products and Services sections provide a unique list including web sites and email addresses to assist in locating that elusive supplier.  Manufacturers and service providers are involved and invited to provide their details.

Laxton's Building Price Book 2016 provides the most detailed construction costs and related information than any other equivalent building price book.
